    Justin,

Welcome to the BBC. Properly setup, the 180 ProV with a 150 will put you in the upper 60's (with a stock motor) loaded.

For an 18 foot boat, it rides good and handles great. These are nice liittle boats with a lot of options. As for motors, it's up to you. The 150 H.O. E-tec is not being produced as of yet, so if you're buying right away, that one is out. The HPDI and Optimax are both good motors.

Check out C&O Marine's website http://www.candomarine.com and look at the yellow and white 180 ProV they have. It is LOADED and even has a tandem axle trailer with stainless fenders. It is an '06 boat with a brand new leftover '04 Mercury XR-6 150 (a rock solid reliable motor). Tell them Jason Phillips sent you. They've got a steal of a price on that boat, and that yellow and white is sharp. There's a pic of it further down on this board.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

man look for a great deal and save some more money or get more financed you will be happier!!bigger is better its a whole lot easier to not need the room and have too much than it is to be too small and need more!!I have put my 210 in a couple of electric onlyor under 20hp small lakes it was tight at the ramps/parking lots and I went everywhere on the MinnKota but man I would hate to go some of the places I have been in a 18-19 footer(St.Johns river(Lake George) in 5 foot swells comes to mind real quick)

    Re: blazer 180 prov (herbertrhudy)

Herbert's right if you want a 202 look for a good used one. You can buy one a few years old for around the same price as a new 180 prov.

If you want to stick with the 180prov, then one rigged with a 150hp I prefer Yammy but that's just me will run 64-66 loaded and 66-68 light if setup right.

But what ever you do you'll be paying for it so make shore your happy.

    Re: blazer 180 prov (blazenmusky)

I got a 180 Prov with a 150 VMax OX66(EFI), I love this boat. It handles rough water very well and fishes even better. Mine is a 2000 model and I am still amazed at all the storage. My best speed is 72gps light and 69.7 loaded with partner to fish. But these guys are right. If you can hold off and get a 202 you should. Mine is for sale and will soon be under boats for sale. The ONLY reason I am selling is to get a 20' with a 300.................Hank

Yep......202 with a swing away should have almost 1 foot left over.

Not sure what the new 18'er will cost ya but I have a 20' xdc bullet with a 200xs merc that is great shape and only a 2003 year model. Low hours and garage and cover keep.. 23500 I know it is no blazer but still a nice boat that will fly if you need it to.

    Re: blazer 180 prov (1BADHEMI)

When I bought my Blazer I was first looking at a 18' w/150hp, but my wife knew what would happen. I would really enjoy it for the first few years and then I would want more. So we decided we should spend a few more bucks for a 202. Unlimited hp so if I get tired of my 200hp I could always upgrade. I also have a smaller garage and I knew the 202 wouldn't fit, so I ended up spending more money and having a large third drive put in. Love it!!

Shu- The last responder was 12 years ago and the last BBC action of the poster above You was 8 years ago. It might be easier to contact Blazer Boats and hope somebody that still works there are familiar w/Your rig..

    Best of luck
