Have been driving all over Texas and....

The only thing Im sure of is that the person who decided where to put the on and off ramps in Abilene was a dumb SOB!

Kerry and I have been looking at possible places to move to and we know every bump on I20 personally.
Not ready to decide yet but the Benbrook area is high on our list.

I had to look up Benbrook, hadn't heard of that one. Looks like a nice area, on the edge of civilization.

Yep ... puts all the traffic on the service roads for the next intersection, not just what wants to go to a business. Hence, we have 3 lane service roads on US 83/84 (Winters Fwy) and all the traffic gravitates to the right lane keeping all the side street traffic from entering ...

Jeff, the messed up part is Abilene used to have the ramps right. They went and screwed them up. One of the few things I dislike about moving over here.

Yep and they are still doing it. Now on the north side of town. I figured they would learn when they did the south loop and got so many complaints.

Texas highways have wide paved shoulders, and when you pull up behind a slow driver, they pull over on the shoulder to let you pass. I've never seen any state's drivers do such a thing. And their speed limits are often 70 mph on such 2 lane highways.

Very large amount of 2-lane is now 75. Depends on the highway condition and the county.

That's just stupid drivers.. can't stand it when they do it. They will do it on a blind hill or curve too. Really exciting if you on a motorcicle!!!! It's always nice to be peppered with gravel and such.
