    Camo Ranger rt188 w/Merc 115 Pro XS CT

    I can finally be an active member of the 'Tin' Boat section... I picked up my Ranger rt188 today. She's running with the Merc 115 Pro XS CT, Tempest+ 24p, and an Atlas 4" manual jackplate. We already positioned my motor based on where we think she will run the best, and locked her down. I added the Lowrance HDS-7 Carbon in the console, Minn Kota Riptide iPilot 70lb thrust, I have the trolling motor foot control filler panel on order, and a custom Ranger boat cover. I am debating on the PowerPole & a Talon (my dealer is saying no warranty issues with the Talon, but he is going to confirm). I will be running lake Conroe tomorrow to get her broke in... And then I am going to fish the hell out of her (or as much as my wife will allow ). FYI I went with the MK Riptide because I fish a lot of brackish and salt water, and yes I know I will be buying a new trailer before long , but I am guy who tends to overdo cleaning my stuff, so maybe I will get more than a year out of the trailer its on.

    Congrats on the new rig that is very nice! Like the pro xs and hydro jack plate on the back.

    I think you're gonna love it, sadly mine has been sitting out under that cover since we moved and will until I can get a garage built for it. I wonder why Ranger put that directional steering wheel on a boat with hydraulic steering? That's a pet peeve of mine.

    Funny you mentioned the steering wheel, it was one of the 1st things I noticed when I got her home... I hope you are able to get your rig back on the water soon.

    Just be sure to flip the foot of your TM over when you get ready to put your cover on.
