Does anybody know anythig about Thunder Hawk Boats?
Does anybody know anythig about Thunder Hawk Boats?
They were used by the Thunder-Cats to engage in battle.
I have no idea if a thunder hawk is the same thing as a hawk, but i have a buddy who has a 20 foot hawk with a 200 merc on the back and its a extremely solid platform, great ride, and will get after it! I was really impressed with it. Again, they may be two completely different boats and if they are disregard post

I owned a Thunderhawk 1400 (14 footer) back in the summer of 68 & 69....First year it had a new 1968 Evinrude 40 hp Big Twin, went about 30 mph,,,
The next summer I was able to buy a 1969 60hp looper Evinrude...Top speed with a stock prop was 40-45....

thunder hawk boats used to be made in Nashville, GA.. They are out of business. There is another boat manufacture making boats under this name in Clanton, AL. They just started using the thunder hawk name about 2-3 years ago. It is the same people and facility that used to make Legend boats. Not to be confused with these guys. Legend Boats not the same company. I'm not sure about any other details than that.
It is the same boat as a Legend Dominator.

Yes, They started building stick steer boats for a couple years now. I stopped by and saw that they had two of the old dominator hulls not quite finished but are trying to bring back to the market. Said that the molds were cleaned up some, but don't know when and where they will be selling them.
What do you need to know about the boats. Yes they are back building boats. There 8 models right now from 12ft to 20 ft The 202 is now ready and dealers are being set up. All the molds on it were re-built 2 models long deck and short deck. email me or call me @ 205 217 6279
Have a website????????
Gene's Marine in Clanton Alabama. They bought the old Vision Boats molds when Vision went out of business and made them under the Legend name. The same one that made the Legend Dominator 202.
They are very similar to a bullet, just not of the same quality as a bullet.

HOW CAN YOU COMPARE QUALITY? HAVE YOU SEEN ONE ?
THAWK totally agree with you some people speak on things without ever seeing ,the pictures that your rep sent me they look pretty darn good to me.Also some people complain with the prices of boats these day and when someone comes out with boats that are reasonably priced and 100 percent hand laid their first thing to do is bash their quality.
Anyone have a phone number / email / website for these guys?
Ben
Just seen one for sale on Craigs list. First I ever saw one,
Where?
Ben
I for am anxious to see how these end up. I wish You much success. I hope You end up HAVING to employ hundreds just to keep up w/production, because they are "hand laid", a lot of hands make light work.
THAWK, post some pictures... I'm always looking for the next best thing... Dan
