    Kick'en Bass Bow Mount Sonar Bracket

    Hey guys,

    Anybody happen to be using this on their boat, specifically Triton X-18 or 17? Like the set up instead of a RAM mount, gonna be for a HDS-8....

    Ordering a X-17 Friday to replace my glass rig.

    Heres the link from the sticky with some pics. These are nice brackets and if I didnt have the bow trim switch right in front of the TM tray I would have this style of mount on mine. Sometimes having it center mounting would be really nice but I have zero complaints about my ram mounts tho they are rock solid. I think the kicknbass mount would be perfect for an HDS8 setup on the bow.

    I purchased the Kick N Bass bow mount for my Ranger RT188 (same boat as the triton X18, different console) It is rock solid and I really like it. I would look at the console mount as well if I were you. I have both and they are awesome.

    Here's a pic of the console mount. You can see where my ram mount used to be. I really didn't care for the ram mount. I don't have a pic of the bow mount bracket at the moment, but I will try to post one later.

    Looks good guys. I really like that style of mount for both the bow and console on the rangers. The OP has a triton and the console is different so he will have to go with a ram mount for the HDS8 on the console. Whatever you do make sure to get the 2.25" ram mount for any unit 7" screen or bigger. These units are heavy and you will be glad you did especially in the rough stuff. My 898s never move on mine.

    I just installed one on the bow of my PT175 and really like it. Very solid. Like it being in the middle vs having to turn to the right. Also gave me more room for my rods on that side. I was concerned that it might be in the way of the trim switch but it is not an issue. Attached are pics.

    I also just installed a trolling motor tray which you can see. A great addition! I recommend both.

    I would like to see pics of yours on you pt175. If you posted pics They didnt come up.

    Yep, pulling the 2.25 RAM mount off the front of my Stratos for the new Triton. Question, do you guys have any vibration issues with your electronics. I haven't had a tin rig in years, but several buddies have complained about their elec units taking a beating...

    Vibration is minimum wtih the 2 ram mounts I have on mine. Only in really rough water will they maybe jiggle a bit but honestly its the gimbal mount moving more than the ram mount itself. They are very solid mounts.

    Bracket looks good. Can you use the trim switch with your toe? I always use my foot on that switcg which is why I was concerned.
