    Crandon area, here we come.

Heading to Crandon with my two brothers for our annual fishing trip. Hitting Metonga, Lucerne and Butternut. If you see a yellow and silver Stratos stop and say hi.
All about the smallmouth and enjoying life for a few days. Haven't seen my older brother since this time last year. I am from KY. One brother from Chicago and another
from Connecticut. Try to keep the thunderstorms away on June 5-7th if you can!

Had a great time in your neck of the woods. Fished Metonga on Thursday. Not many fish caught, maybe 25 or so, not complaining at all! Most 3-4 1/2lbs. Dragging tubes and chunking a spinnerbait on windy flats.
Friday we went to Lake Lucerne. We boated at least 80 there but not the size. Avg 2-3lbs and boy did we miss a bunch. Most on the beds or in those areas. Again dragging tubes and rage craws. Tried Butternut on Saturday but got stormed off. We managed 15 or so there, bedding fish or close to those areas. Great trip. The cabin right across from the Metonga boat ramp is a great place to stay. Most memorable fish was the last couple hours of our trip on Metonga. I was throwing a Mepps Black Fury 3, at least a 30 year old lure, decided we would just fish something different, and boated one pushing 5lbs with the Fury. Kinda wished I'd thrown it a lot more after that! Good time. Not sure how you handle those mosquito's though.

Alert to bring back an old thread but Metonga etc. is on our list of lakes were fishing as a club this year. What's the best place to stay that is fishermen friendly? We usually have 8-10 boats and 15ish people. Thanks in advance.

Have fun...it's an awesome lake. We might be having a tournament there on 6-17, can't wait. We had a small one there last year on the same weekend. 25lbs. and change for third place with 5 fish.

UWBASS....I would stay at the casino in carter, about 15-20 minutes away. Big parking lot a lot of room. No matter where you decide to stay, book early. Weekends up here are busy. PM me if you need anything else

I miss fishing the crappies on that lake. The cribs hold some very large bass year round out there too!
