I got it all sanded, taped off, wiped down and Champion 168 and I got the hull gelcoated, started Tuesday night at 7:30 and finished Wednesday morning at 11:00 am. Temp was about 82 when we started and the gel was setting up before we could get it out of the gun. Once the temp got below 80 everything started acting better. Now its time for more sanding

From the V to the stern she looks exactly like an older gambler on the bottom.
Several hours of wet sanding and buffing later........
Nevermind the mess, after all that sanding I was too tired to clean up.

With a little help from a couple of tractors and some good friends we got it flipped back over, and back on the trailer. Now it is time to do the fuuuun side.

While it was upside down and I had gravity on my side, I figured it was a good time to put the new keelguard and seal the top cap seam with the 3m marine sealer. That is why there is masking tape around it, I didnt want to clean anymore silicone off the top cap

Wished I lived closer, would love to come and help out. Great job!
Great looking project!
Thanks for all the compliments, now that it is right side up I am really getting anxious to try and finish it before spring. Hopefully I will keep the thread updated a little faster.

Good luck with the restoration! I've always wanted a Swift. Has to be the meanest looking bass boat hull ever produced. Can't wait to see the finished product.
This is looking great. I don't know if this was asked already, but is the transom in great shape? Reason I ask, is because the only other Swift boat I have ever seen belonged to a friend of mine and his transom basically went to crap from water infiltration. BTW, you are doing an awesome job so far.

The transom and stringer were all solid the best I could tell, I dug around with a screwdriver everywhere I could and found nothing soft anywhere. The boat looked like hell on the out side, but it had silicone crammed everywhere. It was sealed great on every fitting and bolt going though transom, they spared no expense on silicone thankfully.

very cool hull, looking good.
When you flipped it over was it stable and rolled over gentle? Or does it take off at a certain point?\
How did you rig up the bow for the roll over? - hard to tell from pics
