Long time ago, Dad tried to buy a black cherry Swift, one of the sweetest boats I have ever seen!

Well I got the trailer frame back from the powder coat shop. Mark at Ozark Mountain Concepts did an awesome job on sandblasting and painting it. I got the axle all rebuilt with new bearings, seals, and brakes. I got the axle hung today and I am ready to start wiring it.

sweet project take your time and make it just the way you want it. I would make the boat 100 percent before I hung the motor or like most or if like me the project never gets finished 100 percent

The trailer is now 95% done have a couple minor things left to do but here it is, all new paint, carpet, bunks, led lights, bearings, brakes, actuator, tires, leaf springs, there was nothing untouched on it.

Trailer looks great! Have never seen bunk boards cut at an angle like that (matches the clipped transom on the Swift, I'm sure) - unique!

the trailer turned out awesome. i'm going to have to look up Ozark Mountain Concepts for my trailer needs. Just getting ready to take delivery on my Ranger Resto. Sandblasting and Powdercoat are on order for me for sure. Can't wait to see the progress of the boat.

They have done lots of stuff for me in the past, I'm not gonna lie don't expect it back the next day but when you get it back its right, he don't take shortcuts and he gave me a 2 year warranty on it. He is the only one around here with an oven big enough for a trailer. I think the next closest shop is in Carthage.

Anything new on this? Still a work in progress? Just a neat looking boat all around.

I got the hull moved in my shop and hoping to have the bottom done up soon. Waiting on rainy days so I can work when I am not working.

I got a couple of rainy days this week so I got to fill a lot of the chips and dings and holes from old tranducers and got lots of sanding in. I have 16 little divots to fill and I will be ready to shoot some gel.

It is going to look down right fantastic as the first one I seen years ago at cape fair. The powder coated trailer legitimizes the SR71 on the trailer.
How is the hull where it sat on the bunks, any blisters?

I always liked those boats. A local guy had one around here in the 90's. Looked like a 16 ft hull with an extra 4 foot nose on it so it would measure out for a bigger motor. I wonder if it was just a coincidence that the show "Alf" was popular at the same time is why I refer to them as "Alf" boats. Really cool look to them, but they can sure spear a roller.
