Back to Stratos.... receiving 2014 294xl w 200 Yamaha SHO any day now!

I'm getting a new 2014 Stratos 294xl with a 200 hp Yamaha SHO any day now. What is the best prop for this setup? Does anyone have any results? Does the SHO perform better with the Yamaha props?

just run a ventless prop on it and you should be good. It will run fine with a vented prop but it runs better with a ventless prop. I am running a 27 FXP on mine but I have a 250 SHO and I ran a 27 T-1 prior to that. The T-1 was a little faster prop on top end but overall I like the FXP prop much better.

Dealer put a 25 pitch SHO ventless prop on mine and I don't have ajack plate. I am still breakin it in so don't have any top speed figures.

Congrats on the new 294. You have the best 19 foot in the class IMHO. Why stratos don't put more into pushing these boats is beyond me. You are going to run 72 mph easy with a 200. There isn't another 19 footer out there that will see that type of performance with a 200.

Nice looking 294! I would suggest a 27p prop if you want to get the most out of it. At least a 26p. The 27 might be too stiff without a jackplate.

You need a 25t1. My 225 won't turn a 27 FXP but 5600 and you need to be able to get 6000 out of that motor.
