Did I already break my Solix 12 G3?

I just received and installed a Solix 12 G3 MSI. Note: All of this is with the unit installed and the boat in my garage. I have not had the boat on the water with the Solix.

When I first installed it, I could hear the transducer pinging and was getting a depth reading. I then went ahead and updated the unit to 3.970. After this update I can no longer get the transducer to ping. I've been through all the settings and checked wiring and I can't figure out why I can't get it to ping like it was with the original software version which I believe was 3.8 something.

Before I call HB support in the morning, is there something stupid I'm not thinking of, like put the boat in water?

Tap the power button once and go to sonar and see if pinging is activated.

Yep its on, I've flipped that on and off a bunch of times now without getting any pinging. I've also been through the transducer settings and have auto configure on, i've flipped that on and off a few times.

One thing that does seem odd is that I'm getting a temperature reading, but when I go to data sources I don't see anything for depth?? Does anything look odd here?

I'm not seeing a setting for transducer reset specifically.
I do see Restore All Sonar Settings and Restore CHIRP Sonar Settings. I just tried both of those without any luck. I've also restored factory defaults and that also didn't change anything.

Friend of mine . We put a Solix 10 on his boat .. 2 D worked . Went to SI ..
showed .... Temp depth time .but no image ...
went in and found Transducer Reset ..
unit rebooted it self ... went back to SI ... worked perfectly..

its not in the manual ..
think it’s under sonar set ..

I wouldn't be too worried until you try it in the water.

I don't know this for sure but it seems like the new SW versions prevent pinging when out of the water to keep from damaging the Transducer.

I hope you're right! Planning to get the boat out today. Got a new Ulterra to try out as well.

HB will tell you to put it in the water. Mine did the same in the garage. I had to restore sonar defaults to get it to ping.
