You guys are killing me. I haven't been able to get out since I think, think, that I got my ONIX all straightened out. Been almost two months. Not sure I will be able to get out on the water until next year. Depends on how well my dear wife handles a new kind of chemotherapy. I wish I could take it for her. She has been fighting the cancer monster since 1992.

I will have to relearn how to use the unit all over again.

Update 1.200 is supposed to come out this week. In addition to Auto Chart Live they have fixed bugs and sped up the loading time on views. Some observations:

    1. Boot up time is a bit faster than it used to be and once you hit the "Confirm" button it goes straight to the views, not a delay there anymore.

    2. Maximizing views is also faster, so is pinching to zoom and swiping for settings. Opening menus are also much better.

    3. I don't hear the pinging coming from behind the unit anymore!!

    4. Auto Chart Live is crazy good, especially if you are mapping out humps or river channels.

    5. The Mosaic feature works really well also, especially on 360. I have only laid down a couple of tracks but so far it's very easy to use.

    6. I uploaded my waypoints and they are all where they are supposed to be. I don't use waypoints for fishing usually, I mark stumps and dangers for the most part, so it's very easy for me to confirm whether they are in the right spot or not.

    7. One of the new features involves the Fusion radios, sorry I can't comment on this since I don't have one. Might have to get one to see what that's all about.

    8. I am running 3 Onix units and I have not had any freeze ups or weird problems while using the new update. With 1.150 I would lose the bow unit once in a while but that has not happened since updating.

The new update will take 4-6 minutes to load up and I can tell you it feels longer. So just be patient and the unit will reboot when everything is done. What I have done is save all my settings to a SD card then restore defaults before I update. I then insert the new SD card in and let the unit take care of the rest. On one of the units I had to go to the "Files" menu and get it going that way but it was no big deal. After the update is finished, I have gotten in the habit of restoring defaults again, just in case. I am pretty sure I don't have to do all that but I do it out of habit. After all is said and done I upload all my settings back in from the SD card and good to go.

Sorry for the long post, hope this helps.

Look what a few passes what Auto Chart Live can do for you.

Doesn't matter what map product you use or if you have any Auto Chart Live can provide the data you need

You can adjust the transparency of the overlay too

Before or After Which Would help you the most?

Doug, are you able to turn on the depth markers on the autochart portion of the map?

Here is a Hump I created instant mapping with and show that no base mapping or zero line card is needed to create your custom maps.

    "O Fish-Mas Tree, O Fish-Mas Tree... how I LOVE You! "

You can see the ONIX picked up the density difference of the cooler deeper water and looks like the fish are lovin it.

Looks great, cant wait to start using the new update.
BTW. I have a question about updating with the new Onix updates. It looks like there is a new "Onix Zippered File" option to download. I have a Terrova with iPilot link trolling motor. Looks like all those updates are in the file. Can I put all those on one SD card now?, instead of each on on a separate card?
    Thanks

They will look for the proper update if you have them all on one card but personally I've never done it that way. Updating is one thing I want as simple as I can get it.

Every time I have updated or been sent updates they have been in a zip file with everything in it. When you go under the files icon it will show you all of them and you can pick and choose which one to do first, etc. I think it's a great feature and I've used it now 3 times with no problems.

I always leave all accessories connected during updates. You are correct about doing the Onix first then the 360.

Make sure your download file looks OK......saw posts from someone on another forum that had some bad files for some reason. Make sure they unzipped correctly and are not VERY small size.
