Did you unzip the file when you put it on the sd card?

The most recent update, mine wouldn't recognize it either. I think I took the card out and put it back in to work.

I have read a lot of the posts about problems w/ SI after updating to 2.7 and the need to turn off chirp, etc.
Can anyone post definitive information of whether you need to turn chirp off when idling and scanning w/ SI?

A little help.

Updated my onix units to 2.7. Does the standard 2d transducer that comes standard with the onix 8 non si version able to do chirp. i have an issue where once updated i have no 2d sonar on the front non si unit.

My Onix 10ci NT is doing HB Chirp through a XP 9 20 T shoot thru transducer and a AD 1429 adaptor. The answer to your question is yes! After the update to 2.7, you need to go into your Home>Settings>Sonar menu and the Network section and verify that everything is set correctly. You should start a new thread in the main section below and explain the situation so I and others can help.

The original ONIX models are Cross-Touch meaning touch screen and buttons.

The NT models are buttons-only and less expensive. No touch screen.

I cant seem to download the Onix patch file 2.720. My computer is asking me what app I want to open the file with. I had no problem downloading and installing the 2.7 Onix software update. Any ideas?

You do not open the file, just download and install it. No different than the 2.700 software. It is a patch (fix) for the 2.700 and will be part of the 2.700 when loaded and will not be shown as installed.

You SAVE it to the memory card.

You should also have Open Folder as a choice as well as View Downloads.

Open Folder will go to wherever you chose the file to be download to. Find that file and copy it to a memory card.

I had to use a different computer to get the "open folder" option. It was not in my downloads either. Must have been a setting on the other computer that I cant seem to figure out. I've got the file on disk now, I thought maybe it was a problem on Humminbird's end. Thanks Wayne

Did you try to do a right click to see if there were more options?

Yes I did Bob and the only option was to save as a web page or .html file
