That's awesome! Congrats! What lake were on? That parking area looks like Cow Creek at Oahe. But I've only been there once so what do I know?

Its Angostura Reservoir, south east-ish of Hot Springs, SD. 5000 acres and brim full. This is gonna be a great season. We do fish Cow creek in a couple of months.

I've heard great things about that lake. I'm gonna have to make a trip there next summer.

Its got everything. Well, everything but white bass. Cats, Pike, Walleye, Bluegills, Crappie, Perch, Carp, Drum, and last but most, largies and smallies. Good lake to have tournaments as well as put food on the table.

What was your catch? Mix of LMB and SMB? numbers and weight?

I had 3 largemouths and 2 smallies and my weight was 10.94 lbs. I culled 3 smallies and 1 largemough. 15 guys showed up. I also had big bass with a 3 pounder. Not a huge bag compared to other tourneys at this lake, but it was enough to get it done. One of the pictures in the thread shows my bag.

Well I got 5th place in Sunday's tourney. The last place that was still in the money. I couldn't find any green fish, just cookie cutter 14 inch smallies. 2 tourneys and 2 times in the money so far. I'll add some pictures when I get home from work.

Update on last Sunday's Tournament. Goose-eggs all around. 1 guy weighed 1 fish and took the whole purse. Some days the fish just don't know they're in the game.

It sucks when you're on the water and you think you are doing absolutely horrible but then you get back to the ramp and realize no one else could catch them either.

Yeah that makes it better. Plus we drew for "loser" prizes from sponsors and I ended up with a new Rapala culling scale so that was pretty cool. We always have the guys who 0'd draw for prizes so everybody leaves with something.
