factory tour

well my dad called me today and said that he is going on a factory tour at allison and at stroker in january. so he asked if i wanted to go with him. it will be interesting to see the two factories and how they are produced. it will also be interesting to compare the two boats and how different they both are. we may stop by the bullet plant too. dont know for sure. he just bought a motor and now he is looking for a boat to put it on. i will be paying attention for WAY on down the road when i can afford one.

any tips on what to look for and compare?

Jim,
Todd or Nancy will most likely show you arround, the only bad thing is you won't see everything as there are several trade secrets. Don't be affraid to ask questions and have them explain their different methods of construction & why they are better methods than other builders. The transom & deck to hull construction are two of the most important areas in my opinion, there is no other boat on the market that is built as well or any better in these areas.
