Went to Kroger this morning for some breakfast, and punched the cash back button for the debit card transaction at the self check-out. Got towards the end of the day, and fished in my pocket for the $20 bill. Ops, I forget to pick up the cash when I walked out of the store. Crap. Stop back by on my way home, just in case, and they had it! The cashier that works the self check out saw that I had left the cash, picked it up and tagged it with a note with the register number and the time. Manager said I was the 3rd one of the day to have left money at the self check out.

All I can say is WOW!

my faith in mankind went down the tubes - when I had $48 stolen out of a box of candy in my office that I was selling for my daughters softball team........seems the cleaning lady was the one that stole it.

The owner of the cleaning company happened to buy 5 candy bars just minutes before they left and noticed all the money in the envelope - this was late at night, no employees around........the next morning my secretary noticed no money in the envelope.......called the cleaning lady and she said it was her employee.

I got the money back and that POS cleaning lady got fired.............

it's terrible she risked her job over $48........I mean if she would have said to me I needed the money for gas or something, I'd have given it to her..........definately not worth losing a job over.

This is why I had to install a camera in my M-I-L's assisted living room. Now I can review video in case anything else goes missing.....
