    Lose 10lbs in April Challenge.

    Don't forget the challenge starts this Sunday so weigh yourself this Saturday and let the losing begin!!!

    I'm challenging myself to lose 10lbs in the month of April. I figured I'd start a thread here to see if anyone else wants to take the challenge and post their weekly results?

    No valuable cash and prizes except for better health...

    You don't have to post your starting weight - just add to the weekly post stating how many lbs you lost for the week and what you did to accomplish it.

    I'm posting this a week in advance so the people who aren't on here everyday will get a chance to see this.

    10lbs lost in a month is a very obtainable goal - who wants to take this challenge with me???

    I'll start a new post on April 8th, 15th, 22nd and a final post on the 29th to track our progress.

    A very worthy goal... I may have to get in on this one, 'cause Lord knows I could stand to lose some weight

    I'm in! I list a bunch last year but unfortunately on an up swing of my life long weight roler coaster. Sounds great!

    I'll take the challenge. Although it's already a foregone conclusion in my mind. I've lost 45 lbs since the first week in January, and plan on reaching my goal of 55 lbs by the end of April.

    I've used a "thermogenic" diet. Eating several small meals and snacks all day, so hunger never sets in, and the metabolism is constantly firing. It's pretty strict, but it works great.

    2 hand-palm sized servings of lean protein/day.
    2 50 calorie servings of carbohydrates a day.
    2 servings of fruit per day.
    1 two-tablespoon serving of fat per day.
    4 one-cup servings of vegetables per day.
    2 protein/carb/fat balanced snacks per day (soy nuts, "Balance" bars, etc)
    80 oz water per day (5, 16.9 oz bottles will do)
    Omega 3/6/9 fatty acids every day.
    No table salt - Morton's Lite Salt only.
    No pork.
    No cheese.

    That's about it. Minimize sauces and condiments, use Lite dressings, try to space your eating out so your metabolism is constantly working.

    I lost 11 lbs the first week as my body detoxified, and roughly between 2-4 lbs a week since. This works, iron clad. You just have to stick with it.

    The trick will be re-introducing regular foods when I'm done losing weight, and finding an equilibrium that will allow me to maintain a steady weight. I'm ready for the fight.

    Im in. I have lost 35 so far got about 10-15 more to go.

    I do the low carb diet its the only one that seems to work for me.

    I started the 3rd week in February and have really dropped the weight. Its crazy how I really don't notice the difference when I look at myself but none of my pants or uniforms stay up anymore. I am down to my last hole(on the small side...) on all my belts. I literally have to hold my pants up when I walk very far...
    Gonna wait a little while longer before I buy new clothes just to be safe. I made a lifestyle change more than what I would call a diet. In my mind a diet is short term but I changed my eating habits for the good I hope.

    Me?? 6-0, 180# at 49 yrs old, no meds, no health problems, no drinking or smoking........pass me the Oreo's and coffee for breakfast.

    i quit drinkin mtn. dews 2 and half weeks ago and started drinkin water and have lost 7lbs since. at 5' 8'' and 145lbs im just gonna keep drinking water. good luck to all
