'04 Johnson 175 Shift Linkage Length

'04 Johnson 175, J175GLSRM

Does anyone know what the shift linkage length should be set at? I saw a video where a guy installed a gearcase on a Johnson 175 and set the length at 21 15/16, but he didn't say what year, model, etc.

I also can't find it in any of the manuals I've purchased.

Any help is appreciated.

Should be 21 1/4" in neutral of the top of the deck. 21 15/16" is for a 90* big block motor.
