Great fish Patrick. I'll never understand how that little ol lake keeps churning out monsters. There's little doubt in my mind that lake will produce the next state record bass.

Thanks Tommy!! I sure hope it puts out a state record & I hope I can catch it. I am probably the only one that would put her back into the lake after certified weighing it. There was about 40 boats on the water and most were humbled Sunday.

    40 boats? That's about 1 per acre.

The lake is 200 acres and public. Anyone can go fish it.

Yep!! Lake was getting hammered. I wont even go on Saturdays anymore, even worse.

Caught this big girl today that had just spawned out. She weight 6lb 5oz. Would have loved to have caught her before she spawned.

Thanks Patrick she really was a nice fish but she had to have been a real site to see before she spawned.

Glen it will be okay. I'm sure the rest of us here in the forum will pick up your slack.

Nice Smallies! Wife and I just arrived back in Canada from Georgia and I still have to wait a little more than a month before I can fish for bass again. I can't wait to hit the smallies up here.

Those are nice smiles. Krr6581, just put some steel leaders on. Had a conservation constable tell me to do that On Lost channel lakes at Whippoorwill lodge. Southeast of Sunberry. It was the week before the season started for bass. He told me to make it look like I was fishing for pike LOL and he would look the other way. I think he was just trying to be nice and not ruin mine and the Mrs. fishing trip.

Sunbury is about an hour north of where our cottage is. Hehehe and yes, I've been told that as well. The Pike and Walleye season just opened here last weekend and I've already started fishing for the walleye and the bass have been hitting some of the jigs I use. You don't need a wire leader fishing for the eyes so I have caught a few bass. The wife and I did have a nice dinner of fresh walleyes Monday and it was terrific. However, I look forward to the bass season opening the last Saturday in June though. Until then I will fish for the eyes and pike. I have a pike tournament coming up this Sunday and fortunately for me I know where the pike are in the lake the tournament is being held on.
