I use to until a co-angler trying to unhang a jig smashed it when it let loose.

Looking for a good three view mirror to add. One of the bodies of water I most often fish has a long no wake zone though a marked channel. I cringe every time I come off plane and some asshat is right behind me pushing it to the very last second. One of these days I’m afraid I’m going to end up with a boat on my back deck or worse. Seeing what is behind me in this instance is a safety issue. I personally don’t care if someone doesn’t like the optics. To me it would be a very stupid way to die when it’s easily preventable.

This might be something I try. Right now, I turn around and closely look at the rooster tail and make sure there not one so I can fine tune the motor height for the speed and get a feel for P2P in different conditions with the hydraulic jackplate/Prop combinations.

What about have a Go-Pro facing rearward and have it linked to the fishfinder to view when running?

I do now and thanks for the advice and suggestions. As stated when we get older it isn't nearly as easy to turn your head rearward to see behind you. Problem solved!

I don't have one but I'm pretty old, 79 next month. If I'm in with, or near others especially in a tournament I'll raise my arm or arms if I'm coming off plane. You never know what the other guy is going to do, I don't want to get run over and my neck swivel is rusty.

I have one like this mounted on a ram mount. Drilled hole in golf ball and slide on stem. I like it.

That’s a good idea. I e had my neck fused twice and have very little movement left. I have to scoot around to see behind the boat.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.
