Question Padding the Deck - Anyone do this?

I will be re-carpeting my boat soon.

Has anyone used this product (Pro-Tech Deck) or padded you deck? How did it turn out, any tips, what product did use, recommendations.....

I did it on my old Ranger. Worked fine. Used the recommended Birdsong adhesive for the pad to deck glue then normal carpet glue from Carpet to pad. Cut you pad about 1/2" back from the edges of the boat so that the molding will fit. I just cut the exact fit for the box lids and worked fine.

I know this post is dated, but I'm just considering replacing carpet with padded deck material. What brand did you get from Lowe's?

You don't need bird song, dap weldwood makes a glue to use under rubber, you can buy a quart can of it . I've padded front deck's rear decks, lids and floors on 50 or so bass boats. It's takes 20 oz carpet to a new level, hell it will take thin 14 oz to a new level. The Dap will spray like a cob web, freaky good chit, just tighten up the spray pattern. And yes, I bought a drum (55 gallons) of birdsong, the DAP is just as good..
