Let's go guinea pigs. I hope this cures the issues the solix and apex users have been having and doesn't destroy anything that was working well.
I'm curious about the mega live improvements of image quality but I'm really happy with what I've got and don't trust it to try it first.

I've already installed it on my 3 Apex units... Definitely a huge improvement on the crosstalk. Also, the Networking approach has been revamped for Solix & Apex... no more "Master" unit.

I updated the thread title from "HUMMINBIRD" to something more descriptive.

Noticed the update concerning the Quest trolling motors is for models manufactured in 2024. Sounds like a “Fall” Ultrex Quest release is going to be late. Hope not.

I have seen a few reports of people getting them on new boats. They boat manufacturers usually get the new stuff first.

What do you mean no more "Master unit"? Don't you still have to select one unit when networking multiple units? Thanks.

A blessing for you! Let someone else test it out. I am out of town for a couple more weeks. It’s a “MEGA” update as usual. Hopefully the fix’s work and not too much is messed up. Glad I can’t load early this time, but hope the reports are great! Bob

For Solix on previous software the master could change every time you power on.... whichever unit you power on first becomes the master.
You only manually select a master graph when you re-establish the network after resetting to factory defaults or adding a new graph.

Network syncing has been eliminated. When you start the units up after the update they sync automatically. The first one you start gets the master designation (M).

No. And no more Network Sync. I guess it works more like the Helix. Plug in or turn on a new Network device and it is just recognized and added to the network.

Helix 9 has the new update, but it looks like the 7s are not there yet. Weird as I was able to download it via the One Boat app for all 3 (one 9 and two 7s) but on the web it only has the 9 available for me.
