Still no firmware updates on the Helix G2N MEGA, correct? Hoping they release an update to correct the digital depth readout before my 2019 season starts..
The latest version was v1.840, was supposed to address digital depth issues - it worked well for many, not good for some.

If you run a BT i-Pilot Link, there's special instructions to follow for the auto-upload feature to be turned off ( my motor is much older).
Though I cannot confirm, but I suspect that they may have an update coming to use some of the Mega+ series XDCRs so they can eliminate some"similar" inventory, though I have no word on that and doubt it will be very soon IF it does happen...

I did NOT like v1.640 at all myself.
General Fixes:
SONAR:
- Fixed several issues with 2D Sonar digital depth tracking.
- Fixed an issue where specific rows and columns of sonar data were appearing in the wrong place when Lower Range or SI Range was changed.
- Fixed several cases where entering into Standby Mode was not causing local sonar to turn off.
- Fixed an issue where subscribing to SI and composite DI beams was causing “lost sonar source” warning messages to incorrectly appear.
i-PILOT LINK
- Fixed an issue where connecting an i-Pilot Link or restoring defaults could cause the Go To and Mark Buttons to stop working.
- Fixed several functionality and display issues with the i-Pilot Link X-Press remote.
- Fixed an issue where engaging Spot-Lock and then Jogging on a “normal” waypoint icon would cause the system to turn the custom waypoint icon into a Spot-Lock icon.
CHART
- Fixed an issue where waypoints were showing as decluttered all the time.
- Fixed an issue where placing the unit into Standby Mode would cause the current track to stop drawing.
- Fixed an issue where the “No GPS Fix” warning message was appearing briefly even when there was a GPS fix.
- Fixed an issue where waypoints where having issues sharing between HELIX and SOLIX.

Thanks Robert- very helpful. I was unaware of v1.840, I’ve been running v1.640. Will be installing the new firmware and hoping that it fixes a couple of my sonar issues, two of the listed bug fixes are issues that I’ve run into with 1.640 so here’s to hoping it gets cleaned up!

Any way to uninstall an update on a Helix 7 G2 di unit?
Does it have a card slot?
The exact model number is needed.
You flash the unit memory to an older version, not an uninstall.

You usually can see what software version is on the brown box if it came in one.
I've only got something like v1.400 or v1.460 and you should never go back beyond what it was built with.
If Wayne recommends to wait, there's a fair chance they might have a update not too far off...
Your 1st 6 digits of your serial number would be date built.
You can email or PM me and I'll try to compare product manufacturers date, or you can either wait or contact customer service for a prior version.
The current version is shown on the system status screen which can be accessed via start-up menu or by holding view button and selecting it.
I always make note of the version before updates in case of issues.
