2014 225 hp Etec HO water pressure ?

    Hi guys,

Getting a new 225 Etec HO for my Ranger z20 and will be testing different prop and engine heights to get the best performance.

One thing I don't know much about is water pressure - what is the range of water pressure that is acceptable WOT and what ranges are concerning?

    Thanks!

    3-5 psi at idle

full throttle, 16-18 but could be higher depending on speed.

Thanks much....is there a range to be concerned at WOT if the pressure is too low which I gues could happen if I am running the engine too high?

If you run too high at WOT you will loose water pressure. That's why you watch the pressure gauge.

No less than 18 psi...you have to watch the gauge as Fred said....especially in turns...it can drop then....
