The Date for Grand - comments thread.

OK for Grand we have 2 dates to pick from:

March 8
Pros = early start to the season for the northern folks, less crowded lake, colder water fishing is "awesome", few people have club events this early
Cons = roll of the dice on the weather - temperatures averages are 59 and 35

March 22
Pros = better chance of decent weather - temperature averages 64 and 39
Cons = more tournaments on the lake and more club events that cause people not to be able to come

Post what you think. If it were me I'd roll the dice and go for the 8th, but this is a democracy.

Part of me likes the first weekend. It will be dicey on the weather but most of us are used to cold weather and can dress for it. Rodney can you possibly switch weekends with someone at work?

by march the 8th there will have already been 30 + tournaments held on grand, march the 8th will probably be the first triton/ranger event 300-400 boats if not the 1st skeeter event which will run 200-300, keep an eye on the basszone i believe anglers in action already has there scedule posted

So 2 votes for the 8th. The 15th is no good for some, so maybe the 29th should be on the list. Wonder what our odds are for good weather on the 8th? I want to get this figured out and get the place to stay set up - hopefully Terra Miranda.
