My course is closed tomorrow for the club championship so I downloaded the Golf Now app. Seemed pretty cool. It gave me all the deals and tee times at local courses and I just clicked and booked it. It gives you course descriptions, directions etc. as well. Pretty neat app.
I did that and paid the fee to golf now and showed up at the course and they said they are not affiliated with golf now and wouldn't honor the price.

I got the feeling from golf now it was a rock bottom price just to fill out a foursome. The $65 includes a cart because they require you to ride.

I showed up they had my name and off we went. It worked out real well.
Last weekend I played with a booking from GolfNow.
A 2:00 time was $33 and the regular price at the same time from the course was $50. The other 2 guys we played with also booked the same time through GN.

I haven't had any trouble out of GolfNow. I did book a tee time on the wrong day once, but that was my fault for not paying close enough attention.
