    Observation

I've noticed a majority of folks in SD trailer their boats with covers on......why? Never seen so many do this, even when weather is clear in a million. So for those of you that do, what are your thoughts? Just curious and the thought ran through my mind while sitting at a ramp this morning waiting out a thunderstorm

I live on a gravel road and do it to keep it somewhat cleaner.

I do the same thing. Lots of gravel roads plus almost every lake is over an hour away so it helps keep the bugs off of the seats.

During long trips it helps the gas mileage. Maybe if gas were cheaper i wouldn't care as much. Now that I mention it i may run the boat with the cover on and see how it saves on gas.

I don't. If I have to go down a long gravel road I pull over at the start of it and put my cover on. Which lake were you at? Angy?
