trim quits working

i have a 1995 evinrude 200 trim always works untill you hit a wave hard. then 20 to 30 seconds later works again.
but saturday when getting ready to load it wouldn't trim up but trim down. so i put it on trailer still in water to take off cowning
to check relays. but before doing that i hit all the trim switchs, on motor nothing either. waited few more minutes they all worked except one on shifter, then they all started working. still all working today..wondering what could cause this.

Usually when all switches exhibit the same problem it is the relay at fault, in this case I would expect the terminals to be corroded. The one on the remote control is subject to frayed wires so that may explain that situation. I would change the relays, both, then check the remote control switch and wiring.
