I had to buy a Ranger so Jesse would have someone to out run in a club tourny. Just kidding Jesse. Being a transplant from central Illinois I'm still learning how to fish the river. I'm pretty much game to fish anywhere and always willing to learn something new. I do have one question who are the Hawks?

Hi, My name is Sam Patterson I live by cedar rapids, I am 23 years old. I have a lowe roughneck with a 50 horse Yamaha. I fish a lot of the little lakes around Cedar Rapids and my parents have a place on pool 9 on the river so I fish that alot. I have been watching these boards for awhile now and I will try to start posting more.

    150hp Evinrude (pictures will follow!!!)

Transplant to Iowa by way of college and decided to stay in "God's Country". Love to bass fish and have two sons (4yrs & 1yr) that are on their way to become bass fisherman on the weekends with Dad.

Fishing in my first tournament this year (local bass club ~ more for fun than anything).

Try to fish the following lakes just about every weekend during the season:

    Big Creek
    Badger Creek
    Beaver Lake
    West Osceola Lake
    3 mile
    Little River
    Aquabi
    Hooper

Are the IA Bass Angler Open Tournaments truly "open" or do you have to be a member?

Welcome aboard Dustin. Don't have to be a member to fish the Iowa Bass Anglers Opens. Let me know how 3 Mile is once you get down there to fish it. Love that lake!

Married, no kids. Wife does fish. She has gone on a couple of the "guy" trips to Canada, but has decided 10 days with 6 of my buddies is too much. She will do a weekend trip with them, but that is her limit now. I don't fish tournaments. Actually, the Midwest Rally last month was the first "Tournament" that I have ever fished.

I do a lot of local bass fishing in private ponds in a float tube, but going to hit more lakes out of state this year. Boat doesn't get wet in NE much. I'd give up bass fishing if I could chase muskies all the time.

Going to try to get to Three Mile and Brushy this year to do some muskie fishing.

Re: Iowans: Sign in Here! (Stein)

Never fished specifically for Muskie but have tied into a few on Brushy. They are a blast. My brother had a HUGE muskie roll on him on 3 mile last year. Just found out they stocked 2000 muskie into lake Sugema here. Probably too far for ya but it's got me excited! By the way..... Welcome aboard!!!

Do not belong to any clubs, just fish for fun although the fishing around here is not what I would call fun. Usually make the trip up to pool 9 ,just started on 10 late last year to try and save a few bucks worth of gas. I would be interested in a pool 9 or 10 rally if it is at the right time.
Hey Darrin, you didn't by chance have a MC for sale on e-bay latly did you? I bid on one last month in blue grass being sold by a guy who had just moved to Ia.
