I'm heading to Prairie in about 1/2 hour. Maybe get the boat in one more time
walleyeing before the water gets to hard.
Good luck Rick Its been awhile since I have seen you, I believe it was in 98 when Keith and I fished against you and your Dad at the $10000 river boat days tournament. You and your dad had us worried when we seen the big one Larry pulled out of your bag. Anyways welcome aboard, and how you liking that legend over the Champ??
You did have a great teacher Rick, he was a great man.

You're a helluva lot more man than I am. The only way I'm outside in this weather is to get to my truck so I can go to work!
Friday Morning we drove to Genoa to put in. The ice was over 1 inch thick.
There was very little open water. They caught them pretty good on Thursday.
I was surprised that I couldn't get the boat in. 1 day made that much difference.
It might be a while now.
Just jumping in Joe Winkler from Webster City Ia. Running a 95' 392v 200hp. Ranger. Have fished the Wednesday night league at Brushy Creek for the last two years, and thought would spring out to do a few open tournaments. But after I was figuring how much most clubs are taking from the open anglers for their clubs, it's almost a crime. So I have contacted a friend with a web sight and we are starting a tournament series in Iowa. One thing that is unique is that we are paying all the tournament entry fees back 100% It's going to be a blast knowing that I have a chance to fish a tournament that pays the anglers something besides a short % rate or drive 1000 miles to get to a years end tournament In another state.

Man I love that boat! That's been my dream set-up for a couple of years now.
I realy love the way it rides and the performance of the motor I just hope everything stays together this year. A friend of mine and myself are joining Bass World Sports this year and don't need to be down for too long a period. good luck this weekend at Brushy
You guys coming to brushy? thats my home lake. I fish the Wednesday night League there. I'm heading down to 3Mile Lake in the morning for the Hawgz.com Bass Series Tournament. The big bass are still in deep water at Brushy, and the water is colder on the north end so stay in the middle of the lake and on the east side.

Yeah we were there... I'm jealous of you. That's my favorite lake and it's 4 hours away from me. The weather SUCKED this weekend. Put the hurts on fishing. Still good fish caught but nothing like what we were used to. The Muskies are really active though . How was Three Mile. I'm hoping to hit that in a couple of weeks.
The Tournament went great! had 19 boats and it was won with 17.48lbs.Big bas was 5.98 I think 5 or 6 went over 5lb. Big Bass, 10 teams turned in over 10lb. I got 4th. with 14.78lbs. But I am having a tournament May 31 Sat. at Brushy if you are interested. Check out the info at hawgzbassseries.com We will have pics and video latter this week. I will be in the green Ranger taking fish out of the live well and at some of the scales pics.

So is this a Hawgz.com event? I'd be surprised if any of our other club members will makethat drive. It was hard enough getting 4 teams up there with gas the way it is. I'm going to give it some serious consideration though.
Joe, When you get to the web sight sign in. Both Hawgz.com and Hawgzbassseries.com. That way you can keep track of stuff going on the tournament trail. Wednesday night it took over 10lbs on 3 fish to win. I had 9.86 for second.

I am in the Benton Bass Anglers and Elite Anglers of Iowa.
I see no Iowans have signed in for awhile, so I might as well.
live in southeastern Iowa, around Iowa City. A few decent lakes in the area, but looking to expand my horizons a little bit. Any recomendations from any of you for any other good lakes here in Iowa I might want to fish?
