Question Crankbait rod recommendations $100 or less?

Went out fishing on my lunch break. Caught 2, then this. IMG_1262.jpg

It's a St. Croix rod, I forget the model off the top of my head. This is the second time this model has broken on me under conditions it should not have broken. Time to move on from this particular one. I love the Mojo rods, but this thing just doesn't hold up very well.

So, suggestions? I want to spend $100 or less, can't justify spending more than that when I don't fish crankbaits that often. I was doing well with it so far this year though, so this really sucked to happen.

Looks like a St.Croix SC1(premier).........the Mojo Bass crankers are about $110......you can save a little bit of $$ on other rods like the Daiwa Ballistic ($70 I think) but not much that are nice under that amount that I know of.

I have an Avid 6'6 cranking rod that I love!! $200 for those now I think.

St Croix will exchange the rod, call.

I think a Lews cranking rod can be had for $100.

Yup. I've been having a lot of luck fishing squarebills, crashing them along rock piles and around weeds. Got buried in what I thought was some grass, but now I'm thinking it was a bunch of tangled fishing line some ***hole left behind, which is a major problem in this area for some reason. When to do the quick "double wrist snap" motion that you usually do to clear grass and such when your crank hits the bottom...didn't go over so well.

I will second on the Denalis. I have Denali cranking rods in the Jadewood and also in the more expensive Rosewood series. I like the feel of the Jadewoods better.

I know Skeet rods get talked bad about a lot but I have a couple and I really like them including the cranking rod. For the money I don't see how you can beat it.

Can't do it because of the color. I'm really big on quality, but it also has to look at least halfway decent. Me personally, I just can't stand that yellow.

I bought an allstar rod at Christmas at academy for $10. I guess they were trying to get rid of em and don't know the model. I thought it felt a little flimsy and thought it might work for shallow cranking and I find myself using that rod for my medium cranks than any other rod. I was really surprised.
