Putting the shine back on a Tracker boat?

What aluminum wax or polish is the best for taking the scum and stain off the bare aluminum hull? I'm using Mothers aluminum polish now but was wondering if there is anything better?

sharkhide is probably the best but so expensive. I use Gords. it's a cleaner, sealant, and polish all in one. I put it on once every spring. this year was the third time and I still have half the bottle. I found it on e-bay.

my tracker was waterstained bad from spending several years sitting in the water at a dock. I ended up using a buffer and buffing compound and for as bad as it looked when I started, it came out looking good.

I did this once and I used Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream but I imagine any wheel polish will do and yea it cleaned up great but I don't know if it will protect it at all.

I touched up some paint on mine when i bought it. After a quick compound/ polish on the paint I went over the aluminum with 3m compounds meant for cars. Looked awesome......for about a month. Get something that is specific to the application. I will likely be springing for sharkehide this year.

Any good metal polish will work..the BPS brand is quite good. The 3M is overpriced IMHO.............

sharkhide.jpgSharkhide is expensive, But when you use it you'll know why. Go to Sharkhide.com. Make sure you seal it after you polish it. And it will last for years.

sharkhide is for bare aluminum. use wax on the paint like you would on a car or glass boat.
