    2013 pro xs 115 stalling problem

    My buddy just repowered with a 115 pro xs. Motor has around 8 hrs. Let me give the background. When the new motor was originally hung the shop was supposed to drain the 3 month old premix fuel. Little to say they did not get it all. Second time the boat was out got a water in fuel error on smartcraft. Drained war separator saw a lot of debris and old fuel. Drain entire tank replaced all fuel lines and primer ball drained filter on motor. Motor now runs great at upper rpm range and cruise. Problem is after a long idle the motor will just die. Must reprime ball to restart. Then motor runs fine again. What are we missing? Fuel tank is new lines are new ball is new wtr sep is new.

    The primer ball goes soft at idle.

    Pulse fuel pump is likely damaged- debris would have passed through it to get to the fuel filter chamber...

    Problems caused by DEBRIS in the fuel system are not DEFECTS, and therefore not covered under the engine's warranty.
