    202 and 210

Is the 202 and 210 the exact same hull with different caps? I have more to this but it depends on the answer. I think I remember they are but not sure. I know the 210 has built in setback. I guess I'm mainly wondering from the back of the pad forward.

Ok then here my question. Has anyone ever measured the distance on a 202 from the pad to the front of the gearcase? Now take that distance and apply it to the 210. With the builtin setback I'm just curious to see if the motor is brought in to match that distance if the 210 could be mad to run like the 202 meaning flatter and faster?

Chad, not to my knowledge anyways. Greg might have, but I doubt it. I have seen 210s with less setback, but I am not sure how they ran.

I think the 210 has about 6 more in of setback which is why the 10" plate is best on it. The 202 runs very well with 15-16" of setback. I have seen people go more with the 210, but IMO it does not help. But what do I know...LOL. i am boatless bank trash.

Any why won't it work. I pushed mine back two more inches and it made a ton of difference. Easier to drive, more water pressure and a few MPH.

Did not say it would not work. My 210 ran 92 with a 10" plate with a full load. Just was not gonna run any faster. Keith experimented with more on the 210 and it did not help him. maybe yours is the exception...I don't know.

Chad a few years back I measured my 202 and a 210 side by side from the back of the pad to the bow hook and they were the same, I also measured the setback on the 210 but I can't remember what the setback was.
