I have a 2 car garage it is 19' x 19' can I fit a boat that is 20''9" with a swing away tongue? Can i get it in sideways? The boat is a Ranger Z20.

You need to measure the boat/tlr. You'll have to lower the motor for sure. IMO, if it fits, it will be a snug one.

You better do some measuring, I thought I would have plenty of room for an 18' boat as my garage is 24'. I found out when I brought it home the boat/motor/ trailer (no swing tongue) is 23' 11", I have to angle it to get the door to close!

The boat with the motor down and swing away tongue open is 20'9"

also, dont forget about width. my garage doors are 103.5" wide. My boat is 101 wide. Its really tight but I make it work. not everyone would be willing to live with such a tight fit and the hassle that comes with it.

20' 5" + 2' for motor then measure from front of boat to longest point of trailer went folded. Should be close to 23' 6". A Z520 is 25'9" open and 23'9" folded. You'll probably need two dolly jacks to get it in your garage.

You can get them for $100 each for chinese made to $250 each for Go Jacks. Go jacks are the best.

26.87 feet from corner to corner if the interior dimensions are 19x19. If you figure the back of the boat is 101" then 4.2 feet is the distance from the back corner that the engine would sit in to where the back edges of the transom of the boat would come in contact with the walls(If the transom were flat across which it isn't).... so you are left with 22.67 feet in front of the widest point on the boat. certainly would be tight, the motor would be a non issue unless you had an 18 inch jackplate, only the distance from the front of the trailer to the widest spot at the rear of the boat.

bfrank, you must be a mathmetician. Not may folks know that if a right triangle has two equal legs, the hypotenuse is the length of the leg times the square root of 2.

I bought a set of mechanical wheel dollies from harbor freight...they work great! Makes getting my Z20 into the garage pretty darn easy! only takes me about 5-7 minutes to get it in it's place and unhooked and chocked.
