I think its awesome. I would also think that it would be much more resistant to damage than a fiberglass rig. awesome boat
I seen this boat at the Bham boat show when it was new. I think about the only thing that was lighter is the lids. I am almost sure that that it is not a total carbon fiber boat. The stripes were done in carbon fiber for looks. It was and still is a sweet looking ranger. I think it was priced in the 75 range.
That was Randy's personal boat in 2009, when your the president of Ranger you can have one made out of gold if you want, being a Z21 it prolly broke 70 in full carbon, ha ha ha
That was Randy's personal boat saw it at the factory when I was there touring it and ordering one of my boats. If memory serves me correctly Connie told us that it was something they did to coincide with the 100th anniversary motor that Evinrude had out that year. It was a neat boat you could see the the carbon matting through the gel coat which really makes it cool. Also if I remember correctly that was also the first boat to have the Anniversary Red color on it also.

Sweet looking rig. I like the color scheme. Not crazy about the white trailer fenders but the boat is sharp.
I know this is an old thread, but out of curiosity. Anyone out there remember how much it sold for on E-bay.

Mickey Wood (rip) told me they built one all carbon fiber 520 and that it would have cost too much to mass produce them. He said they would have had to retail them for somewhere in the $125k range. I have a friend who works for a company here in Indy that makes replacement carbon fiber pieces for airplanes. Things like wings and tail sections. Apparently they have to be replaced every so many hours. He said they have to cure everything in the mold under vacuum to get things to set up properly. I would guess that is where the extra expense would come in from a construction standpoint. He is going to make me some carbon trim pieces to replace most everything in the cockpit of my boat this winter. Not sure about weight savings, I just think it will look cool and a ton better than the fading and oxidized plastic in there now.

Thanks for the info. I bought it in 2019. It's a 2009 Z21 Comanche Carbon Fiber Concept. The boat fax said it wasn't titled until 2012. It's in immaculate shape and I plan to keep it that way. Thanks again
