    Thumbs Up Official trash talkin' thread.

    I'd start, but some of you might have seen me fish before...

    I'll be happy if I can bring a fish to the scales. The last BBC rally on Bull Shoals kicked our tail. Us River Valley guys aren't used to clear water fishing. To me, clear means I can see the top of the trolling motor...

    We've been spending a lot of time on Tenkiller over in east Oklahoma trying to improve our techniques. Tenkiller is not nearly as clear as Bull, but it's the best we have under three hours. We did come in 72nd in the Bass Cat tourney last spring on Norfork, so we are improving.

    Don't feel bad about not catching fish on Bull.....happens to me all the time, and I fish it 1-2 times a week......I've been fishing it for 10 years, and still don't know how...........Before moving here, I fished low land lakes with stained to almost muddy conditions........ at least you can sneak up on the fish in those lakes, cause they can't see you near as good.......and having to fish deep as opposed to shallow is hard to get used to.......I'll keep plugging along, and hope to catch a fish somehow.......?

    So I guess that means that Russ will have to develop a strategy to learn how to catch the fish.....? And Steve will have to figure out if they are in the right spot.....?..........

    I am by no means a trash talker, but my boy says we are going to win. He got 2 new bait casters for his 10th birthday a couple of weeks ago, and he was practicing in the yard every day until the snow started flying last week. I gotta say, I am impressed.

    If anybody wants to learn how to read a Humminbird graph or wants some drop shotting tips, he can fill you in. And if they are on a crankbait bite you boys better watch out!




    To say that he is fired up about this trip is a huge understatement. It will be our 1st buddy tournament together, and our very 1st "guy trip" out of town for a few days. I think I am more excited than him though!

    He even get's to skip a day of school to go pre-fish for a tournament!! How cool is that?

    To complete the weekend we are rolling out of there after dinner on Saturday night to go fish Table Rock on Sunday. Gonna run up the river and try to catch them on a Wart. Can't wait!

    The only thing that I don't understand is he would rather fish out of a new Z520c instead of the 1994 Ranger 482vs Bassmaster Classic Edition. Go figure.

    And he was all worried that some B.A.S.S. Elite Series guys were going to show up and jack pot the tournament "because that wouldn't be fair." LOL See you guys at the lake!
