My son had a new water pump installed in his 250 HPDI from a warranty service dealer and after idling about 1/4 mile, when trying to get on plane, the buzzer went off and the motor backed off to an idle. After restarting the motor, boat got on plane fine but only ran 4 psi instead of 12 psi. Also looks like pee stream is weaker than it should be. Any ideas?
I had the same problem with my 225 HPDI recently. I had the pump replaced and the intake cleaned out (it had some debri in it, but not 100% clogged), with both of those issues taken care of, I was fine and it was pissing fine.

Check the poppit valve...mine was clogged...cleaned it out...water pressure went back to normal.
If the repair shop did not clean the popit valve then i would check that first.If the water temps are over 80 degrees then that could also be why your psi is low.

I had trouble last week as well. They replaced the impeller and cleaned some crap out of the lines. 2000RPM, they said it was up at 13PSI. I took it out that afternoon and it shot up to around 18 PSI at 3500 RPM and then instantly back down to 10.
Could there be more crap in the lines??
It used to run around 22-25 WOT
