Pulling the Ecu and throttle body insert today. I run an 18p Vengeance now but it will over rev at around 42mph.
I hope to be turning a 22p-24p laser II. Maybe I'll order a 24 and have it worked if necessary.
On my G3 1652/yamaha f50 I have a 15p stiletto.

Sweet! I think you will have to go with the 24p laser. I could still hit the limiter before i worked the 22p over and i have the higher gear ratio. You have that 2.33 gear so the 24 will probly be best bet. Were nt you eventually gonna run a jack plate as well? If you look on here there are alot of guys selling 6" slidemasters and t&h plates as well for a good price. Or look online for a good deal. I got my new cmc for $214 free shipping but i cnt remember the place lol. Google will come up with it haha good luck!
O i see. So its a 75 ELPTO. i agree with ship that is ALOT of prop for that motor. Im running a worked 22p laser on my tracker 175 with a 115 opti on it and it is perfect. I imagine your rpms are kinda low and perhaps thats why it is so slow to get to 40 mph. I would say to get a 19-20 pitch stainless prop to try on there and probly really make it pick up alot better and bring it up to max rpms also. Luke ship asked. What rpms you hitting with that 21??
5200rpm What should max rpm be on that engine?

No your running right where you should be. That motor is rated at 5250. Im surprised with a 21p that it would run at that rpm. Everything sounds like its running where it should be then. You could try different props tho if you were wanting to increase your top speed.
Im cool with the speed,I aint ever caught a fish at 40mph. I dont fish tournaments so when i get there i get there. I crappie fish 100% of the time.
I hear ya. I have done well on the crappie myself this year. Mine is a multi species boat for sure. My quest isnt really for top speed, its more for a good efficient cruise speed.
Thats cool that you happy with the performance of the rig. Makes the fishing more fun. Im finally happy with mine now after tons of mods haha. I havnt crappie fished in years. My boat is only in search of bass
