    Hey guys,
We just have the frist of our 3 service Christmas program today. It went sooo well! We use a 65 voice choir, vocal team, orchestra (20 members) electric, bass, all that stuff... We used some carol arrangements by Bradley Knight from Prestonwood church out in Texas. If you use a choir and orchestra for one of your services, you have to listen to his music. It's very progressive for this venue....

    God Rest Ye merry Gentlemen...

Angels We Have Heard on High
Prism Music | Carols for Cutting Edge Worship

They all come with Data disks, click, rehearsal tracks... Im not selling, just really like his music.

    Hope you like it!

We send our sound/audio guys to the WFX Conference in Atlanta... I think its in Vegas next year... I probably should go to that one!

Old Man, I think you are headed in the right direction....

Roy, I haven't had the opportunity to go to any conferences yet, but I think some of our guys went to the "Seeds" conference last year hosted by Church on the Move, and maybe one @ Church of the Highlands in B'ham. The one you listed looks like a good one... I'd like to go to one that has Hillsong (missed them in B'ham recently) or Jesus Culture.

I know it's a long drive, but we will be needing a male lead soon. our guy is in the Air Force and is being transferred. Probably not your kind of music , though.. we're quite contemporary...

    You calling me old

Man I love contemporary music. That would be my choice of worship if I could make it happen somewhere.

I didn't insinuate that you were old, just the music we do doesn't fit most "1st Baptist" scenarios...

Has anyone dealt with audio interference coming out on the overhead projectors? It seems like if the stage monitors are brought above a certain level, the projector screen get hit with distortion in time with the music

Haven't heard of that one.... we do get some interference from something on the wireless mics, though, but I don't think it has anything to do with the projectors.... do you have wedge monitors or IEMs? It could be a connection getting vibrated by the wedge monitors...

thanks Nick, its not of the static nature but maybe a ground loop or cross talk issue. I'm going to unplug some of the components and see if I can isolate an offender.

What do you use for in-ear monitors, Nick? My old church in Vicksburg used to have a big monitor board, stage right, out of view of the congregation. But they went to the Aviom system, as did my current church in Madison. I like the Avioms 10x better, because each person can mix their own monitor without having to flag down the monitor guy and communicate with hand signals what they wanted. Very handy.....

I'm not playing this week, but this is the set list:

Because of Your Love - Paul Baloche
This is How We Know - Matt Redmon
    One Thing Remains - Vineyard
    The Stand - Hillsong
Proof of Your Love - For King and Country, I think is the name of the group

we use the Aviom system also, I just can't find a headset I enjoy.
