I've never trolled over 60mph so I'm missing the point of this thread. :)
I just bought a 2014 2050ls today. When the hard water is gone im hoping I can get this one to around 60. It has the merc 250 on it. Any suggestion on prop sizes and hole setting on this new hull?

hey jigncraw. nice of you to tell me about you being the big cheeze on the multispecies forum. come to think of it I didn't know there was a multispecies forum.
a little late to the fight but my stratos 219f will hit 60.3 light load. 150 Fast Strike and a six inch plate.
Explorer I do believe that jigncraw is just another bitter bass boat owner.
Next boat will be a Deep V boys!!!!!!!
I'll bite, though, for where I fish, I've never found myself missing the speeds of my old bass boat. Running an '04 620 with same year 225 Opti that I've owned since new. 21P Rich Boger blueprinted and tuned Tempest (which I should probably save as a collectors item instead of running) gets me a best ever of 63.2 GPS with 1/2 tanks tackle and myself. With the 21P High Five on, top speed is around 56-57. I may sell the 21P High Five for a 23P as I can bump the limiter very easily with the 21.
My 690 ranger with a 175 xri would run 58.2 with full tank 2 guys 24 terrova on bow full tackle. That was last year over the winter I sent motor to Jay Smith racing because bad injector last fall. Well in a couple weeks I should know what top end is but guessing 65-70 mph Jay is the man on 2.5s
a storm bass and flats boat will run 80+ with a 250 pro xs and 90+ with a 300
22ft Storm
300+ merc
89.1 mph gps 29TXP 6050rpm
Not mine, but this sets the mark pretty high.
