I have 3 helix units with navonics cards in each, is it possible to read the cards on a dell computer and rename wps that way. Do I need a program or something?

There should be no waypoints in a map card. Waypoints are in the unit's memory and should be exported to a blank formatted memory card.
You can manage the waypoints with the computer software HumminbirdPC. Free download on the Humminbird website Support/Software Updates.

I have 3 birds networked together. 998c, Helix Mega g2n si and Helix Mega + DI g3n. I have 2 cards that I updated today. Can they be interchanged between the Helix and 998?

It does that so you won't download data you can't use in your unit.
    Lowrance can use more data.

I have a Helix 7 G2N. I purchased the Navionics+ All US and Canada card. I purchased it because the Navionics Canada lake list says the card has Matinenda lake in Ontario. However, the lake only kind of appears on my Helix. There is only an outline of the southern half of the lake and the northern half doesn’t appear at all on my Helix. This is confusing because the lake is completely graphed on the Navionics web app and also on the Navionics update page. I have updated my card multiple times but still no Matinenda lake. What do I need to do so I can see that lake on my Helix?

It may not be Navionics surveyed (Nautical Charts) and is Sonar Charts surveyed--both are on the web app. Select FishNChip in the unit's menu to see the Sonar Chart map layer.

You may have to download the Sonar Charts map of that lake if it is not preloaded.

I tried selecting FishNChip on the menu, however I’m not sure I downloaded the Sonar Charts. So maybe that’s why that setting didn’t work. I will look into that. Thanks for the reply.

Bottom line is anything you see on the web app can be on the map card if you do your part.

So... I updated my sonar charts again for just the area that includes Matinenda lake. Then I reinstalled my chip in my Helix and selected FishNChip, and now I have the lake. Thanks Wayne

Can I take my Navionics Us and Canada chip card out of my helix 7 and install it in my helix 10? The chip is compatible with my Helix 10 but it is registered on Navionics for my Helix 7. Does that matter?

It will work, you need to put it in the SD adapter to fit in the H10.

Just purchased a Helix 7 with a Navionics+ card and am trying to figure out how to mark waypoints when I'm at home and export them to my card for use on the water. I see mention of an app for iPad, would that be able to export the waypoints to the SD card with an adapter? Not sure if this is the best way to do this, I'm open for suggestions. I'd like to be able to just explore/scout my charts when I'm at home and have the waypoints show up on my card. I am aware of the existence of HumminbirdPC but not sure how this will factor into the equation, just curious how other people are accomplishing this..

More than likely you can just email them to yourself use your pc to load the waypoints to HBPC. Then to your SD
