I edited my last post, can you try scrolling to the right and look again?

What version software is the 688DI running?

FishNChip is not a selection in map options only UNIMAP and AUTO

Your PURCHASE the Navionics Update card---$99, that is one card. You have a Navionics+ card, that is two cards total.

You put the Navionics UPDATE card in your computer to register the UPDATE card. During the registration process, you are asked to remove the UPDATE card and insert the card you have. Then you remove the Navionics+ card and put the UPDATE card back in your computer. It is then your second copy of Navionics+. Then you can update that data to current data and add whatever Sonar Charts locations you want.
The NEW Navionics+ card gives you a year of Freshest Data updates, just like the Navionics+ card you already have.
BOTH can be renewed for another year for $99 each if you want to continue getting Freshest Data updates.

If you did not add any Sonar Charts maps to your Navionics+ card, you won't have FishNChip to view any Sonar Charts maps.

Thanks: I may need to update to latest software 7.520 because FishNChip is not in selection menu.
Time to shut this down and trade the mouse for a nice Glenfiddich.

If you check the Navionics compatibility chart, four versions of 688 are compatible with Nautical Charts and Sonar Charts:

I've got the Helix 7 SI G2 and a Navionics Platinum card. I'm trying to get the satellite overlay and the "platinum" features to show. I have everything set to visible and it looks no different than my old navionics card. Any tips?

Only HD locations have the Platinum features---no tidal waters are HD.

For HD locations you have to choose Land or Land+Water in the Platinum menu.
Then you adjust the overlay transparency in the Chart short-cut menu.
You have to use the Bird's eye View to use 3D.

You don't access it at all, just put the card in the unit and it will automatically read it.

If you have the map curser displayed, push the EXIT button.

Is the body of water you are on included in Navionics' coverage? Have you checked the Navionics website's Web App? That is current as of today.

What mode are you running your unit in? You want to be in simulator mode or in normal mode with a GPS antenna connected.

If you are seeing another lake just zoom out and move the cursor to the lake you want to view.

I was on watts bar lake in Tennessee. The lake came up, but no contours. Not sure what mode I was in. I would zoom in and out while idling, no contours. It read the lake depth ok just no lake contours. .???
