Navionics charting questions - need help with charting?

I seem to be having a hard time getting any photo overlay to appear on either my hds 9 gen2 or hds 8m gen 2. I have a hotmaps platinum card (C) I just picked up, just updated both plotters to the latest software updates. But when I adjust the opacity I still get nothing? The Cards for Canada but cover upstate New York and Lake Ontario where I fish. I was pretty sure photo overlay comes with the hotmaps platinum card. Am I needing to wait longer, reboot, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

I'm not Pmnav12 but I may be able to help you. For the Canadian side of the border the 3D and all the other goodies are limited on the Platinum; take a look on lake Champlain there is some part where you are getting all the benefits of the Platinum and there is some part of lake Ontario that are good.

Appreciate the reply. I fish up where there's a decent portion of Lake Ontario on the Canadian card mostly and I have sonar charts just fine in the area just not any satalite overlay. Wondering if it's cause it's the Canadian card or download error. I did read afterwards that Canada is limited compared to US. Gander mountains going outta business up here and the hotmaps platinum card was $120 bucks and figured I'd give it a go. Gonna give navionics a call

Map details are restricted by the Canadian government. The Satellite Overlay, Photos, and 3D are not updateable, just the mapping.

HD waters in the US have those extra Platinum features.

To have HD mapping in Canada, you have to use Sonar Charts data provided by the public for free.

You got deal anyway and it's good on lake Champlain and Ontario and all the other lakes less the 3D (that we don't use or almost don't use) and the photos overlay

Yeah gander has about 6-8 more for sale plus different cards. Picked up a updates card 2 for $60. There's navionics + there as well for us. Ganders got some good deals right now

Went to cabelas and bps would not sell card to use with my tablet said it not work?

Just get the Navionics USA in the store and you don't need cell plan and it doesn't use data

NO there is no mobile device map card. There are mobile device APPS. I have them on iOS and Android devices.
The "store" is APP STORE for iOS.
It is Google Play for Android.

South is a map card region for a sonar/GPS unit. There is South Hotmaps Platinum, and South Navionics+

Boating USA is a mobile APP for a tablet or smartphone. There is no South anything for a mobile device.

I have the Navionics card in my Lowrance unit and for some reason can't get it to show the features (contours, creeks, and other details) on Dale Hollow Lake. I used it and it worked well on Douglas Lake a few weeks ago. This is an older unit (2009) but it works for my uses right now. Could it be that my Navionics card just doesn't have this lake on it? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Also, is there a contact phone number for The Navionics folks where I could call?

You can view the current maps on the Navionics website's Web App.

Depends on how old your map card is for the coverage it may or may not have.

How do I transfer just waypoints from one Nav card to another?

Both are Plantium East cards.

The wpts are not on you're Nav card they are in the unit memory.

Can I insert a blank SD card into the unit and copy them to that?
