Best Electronics Mounts - Balzout vs RMC E-Lok

    Hello all,

Looking to get some new mounts soon.
I fish very rough waters like Erie/St.Clair and was wondering which of these 2 mounts are best or any others for that matter.

    Thanks for any tips.

Balzout is a frigin monster and won't flex or damage the unit.. I had one on the old boat and it never failed or had issues..
im partial to it as I helped in the process with the guy who makes them just north of me.. After seeing it an using I will never go back to another style..it's flat out rugged..

I had a ram mount on my front unit on my Z7 for about a year, what a piece of crap. I removed it and got the BalzOut mount. WOW. What a difference. I will never have another ram mount. That rubber just flat wears out. I don't even fish very rough water and a year is all it made it. The BalzOut mount is very stout, but a lot bigger. I also like the fact it is taller. Here is some pics of my install.

Just bought a Balzout for my AlumaCraft. Solid, maybe overbuilt mount that I am sure will hold my new Lowrance Carbon 12 without any issues. Still working on getting it mounted on the boat. Delayed by a three week vacation in Alaska.

You better look at Beatdown Outdoors before you buy mounts. Get into the Ultimate line up with a quick change setup. You can raise or lower your graphs. Single mount, double mount, tripple mount. Very well built. No I'm not paid by them or affiliated with them at all. Just got mine . You won't be sorry.

That mount will not be a good deal on Lake Erie

I never been on Erie. But I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't stand up to it. If you haven't sen one in person then you should

I don't either. I just looked at the video, and, you can drop it all of the way down to deck level when moving on big water just like any other mount. Looks very solid.

Another vote for Balzout mount. Waves broke my Helix 7 plastic mount, mounted to the Balzout. That was the weak link. Got a metal mount for the Helix and no more issues.

20749.jpgThe Beat down looks great. I just got the blue water and very pleased. It will fold down and lock while moving

Cisco Fishing mounts have been really good for me. Have had them on (3) different boats over the years.

I don’t know much about the RMC, but the Ballzout is well tested on St Clair /Erie for me. For the guys that haven’t been on those waters - it BREAKS things. LOL.
