Powerhead remanufacturing service

At Chris Carson's Marine Servic,a family owned and operated business,we have been servicing and rebuilding outboard motors in the same location,under the same ownership and management since 1984,in Key Largo,Fl.We offer free pickup and delivery in most of Florida,and can painlessly arrange inexpensive shipping for folks farther away.Unlike most rebuilders happy to supply a re-man block,we have a "soup to nuts"approach,we receive your complete powerhead,dressed with fuel and electrics..
You will know the price range for the work before the motor is shipped,the motor is torn down,accessed,priced,ok'd,and them serviced.
This service includes all cylinders bored,all new pistons,rings,gaskets,seals,rod,wrist,main bearings,thermostats,poppet valves,fuel,oil and electric systems serviced,etc.
The powerhead is then installed on a midsection and run in a test tank with a test prop for light loading,and systems checked,after which it is mounted on a test boat for partial breakin and final adjustments.Only after this thorough testing will your motor be re-crated and returned...remanufactured,tuned,timed,adjusted,wat er tested and with 1/2 the breakin completed.The work performed will carry a one year warranty.
We also offer performance upgrades to enhance your motors performance while maintaining durability and ease of maintainence,and of course all our motors are equipped with our signature composite reeds.
Since beginning our supporting vendor status,you've probably seen our yellow banner ad regarding CCMS Custom Reed Valves,our side business,but we've never advertised rebuilding here,and only recently mentioned our services in a few posts.After remaining a few powerheads from this site I have to say its nice to work on fresh water motors!
