    prop question & rpm question

    i have purchased a new boat with 150 vmax carb
    manufature date 12/05
    the only info on the prop is 25M is this a 14 1/2" by 25 pitch
    and can i turn this motor to 6000 rpm?

    It's probably 14 5/8" diameter if it's a 25 pitch. Here's a link for you.

    Depending on what boat you have will determine how many R's you can turn. I mean if your boat is heavy, then it may be hard to get that engine to 6,000. Besides that, I'd suggest propping it to around 5,800-5,900 when it's empty and low on fuel.

    Does it have a jackplate? And what boat is it?

    Jerry is right, But the pro-series "M" is 14 1/2 in diameter for the 150.... The link for the 25P Jerry posted is a "XL" prop.

    i ran a 25M on my Skeeter and couldnt turn 5800-6000 like i wanted. i had to go with a 23M but i love the prop. its a great all around prop for fishing and carrying my big ass around. could probably turn a 30 if i lost some weight
