Rob I know you had a 210 Champ. I see no way that boat will run 78mph GPS fully loaded with a 250 hpdi and 25 Tempest. Do you? I have a 1998 203 with a 250 on it and it has never seen 78 GPS evenwhen running a little light. 78 on the speedo yes but not GPS. There is a guy on the Champ board that says his 210 Champ runs 78 fully loaded with a 250 hpdi. Don't believe it, do you?

Unless Worthy in Nixa, Mo has phased out that Yamaha, its just not going to happen and even then, I doubt it. The 210 Elite is an excellent fishing platform but certainly not known for high performance.

Come on now if your 203 won't run it you know that 210 won't. I have been playing around with HP and props for years on my 203 trying to get to that 80 mph mark and have never gotten there.

I know of a 2004 203 w/300 HPDI that did 79 lightly loaded. It was fast for a champion.

And yes, neither you nor I will ever see 80 in our 203s. I do know I passed a lot of guys who said their boat would do 72. Amazing how people misjudge their speed.
That was pretty fast for a 2004 203, I sold one in 2004 or 2005 that would run about 63 with a 225 efi so Champion sent me a 250 efi, that would push it to the upper 60's with two people. Champion finally told me that they had added 60 lbs. to the front of the boat because they were having stress crack problems on the hull sides near the chine beside the rod lockers. I knew something was different because the older ones ran upper 60's to low 70's with 225's.Originally Posted by Duane Harper

Best my 210 does is 66 mph with 2 guys and a tournament load, full tank. Tempest plus in 25 pitch that is out of the box and not worked. Mounted on a 10 inch Atlas jackplate. 250 HP Optimax.
25p prop, 6000 RPM, 1.75 gears puts the prop slip less than 4%.
Mine will do 74 with a stock pro xs and fury 4. It could be a freak boat with a perfect setup?
