Ultrex 360 vs fortrex 360

I have an original 360 with an ultrex mount, and I'm looking to upgrade to mega 360. Every dealer is backordered on the ultrex mega 360 but I have found a couple fortrex mega 360's that are available. Could I just buy the fortrex mega 360 and use my existing ultrex bracket, or is the shaft not long enough? I have a 45" shaft ultrex.

Should be no problem if a 45" shaft is suitable for your boat.
There is 12" difference in the shaft lengths.
Some prefer to just have the 360 pod submerged and end up cutting the Ultrex shaft down some so they can have the motor lower and clear the shaft from the motor turning.
Ott Defoe cuts his down 9" and friend of mine did his the same amount. I cut 5 1/2" off of my Ultrex MEGA 360.
