I have a 798HD SI combo. From searches I think I need a cable to connect it to my I Pilot, #720074-1. Is this correct?

I can't get my ipilot to follow the contour. When I select a contour and hit go to nothing happens
could be several things. Do you get the drop down menu showing the colors of the direction you want to go

I tried to do the link controller update and the link remote update, but when i put my sd card in the unit it didnt do anything
Are you using a Lake Master Card? Without the card it will not work.
Abking 275, It has been a while since I updated my equipment but if I remember correctly you should only have update for one thing on the card at a time. do the trolling motor first and then you do the upgrade for the remote thru the remote menu. I hope this isn't to confusing but it took me a while to get it right before I could get everything up to date.

.....And it has to be a Lakemaster card that says i-pilot on it .... The older cards didn't support it either.

Yes, I do have the lakemaster card that says ipilot
when i do an accessories test the link is showing up as v2.15, but the remote says not connected
The remote not connected is for the as rc 1 remote which is for the depth finder. Will say remote then under that it will say remote dongle.. turn on your I pilot link remote. Go to "controls" and under it , it will give you a list of options. Go down to "about "and choose it. That will give the remote and link controller software issue that is installed . Not sure what the latest issue is mine is 2.040 for remote, and 2.150 for link controller

Am I reading this right I have a998C and a 899CI-HD, the way I'm reading the chart the 899CI-HD is not compatible with the I-pilot link? Thanks
It is compatible, any unit that has Ethernet capabilities is I pilot link compatible.
