    Skeeter Front Bow Depth Finder

I am planning on upgrading my depth finder up front and would really like to just get rid of the factory graph to have more room to mount my new graph on a RAM mount. Does someone make a plate to go in place of this that I can mount the trolling motor plug in and the trim switch?skeeter.jpg

Vendetta I believe is the best rod that Abu Garcia makes. The rest of my rods are ducketts they are worth the money.

my 2003 TZX190 didn't have any room for a graph initially, but I bought a new panel from Skeeter that holds the normal size 6" graph. I have been told that Skeeter doesn't have them anymore, so you might want to contact that guy on the boards who will make one for you. Speaking of rods, I have a Duckett, and a Vertias, along with a bunch of other brands. I also have 4-5 "G-Blank" rods, and I will say that I would put them up to any of the rods I own. For under 200 bucks you can get a custom made rod any way you want it, and I absolutely love them

I actually had to use the serial number from a ZX250 because mine didn't come with one. I think it was about 2 years ago, and it cost me around 175 bucks. BUT even if you could get one, I don't think it would fit on your boat judging from the pic. It would have to be shaped like this:
    dash.jpg

I also had to do alot of cutting of fiberglass to make it fit on mine. That was my old dash in the pic.

If all else fails, make a cover plate for that hole and RAM mount your new graph to the deck.

I have on ( new) bow panels blacknife has shown. didn't work on my zx 200. I made a flat panel out of composite material and recessed a hds 7 into it.

I'd love to see that! That's my problem now. As much as I love having my LMS520 flush mounted in the dash, I want to put an HDS7 or 8 in it now, but obviously neither will fit. I don't know why there aren't any companies making some kind of plastic adaptor with a quick release. Seems like it's be a money maker to me

My ZX has a place to mount a 5" in the dash, but I have my HDS7 or X38 RAM mounted on the side of the console. I recnely traded Lowrance a broke unit for a HDS7 (now I have 2 7s) and am thinking about making a sturdy cover for that 5" hole and Ram mounting a 2nd unit at the console. 2 7 inch screens would be better than an 8 or 10 split.

About how big is the smaller backside of the HDS7? I'm wondering if it's about the size of the front of my 5" LMS 520C. If it is I may be able to set it in the the bow panel, obviously it wouldn't fit flush, but it would basically sit in it, and on top of it. After cutting all that fiberglass out, and buying the panel that last thing I want to do is ram mount a unit to my deck. I had my 520 ram mounted to the deck before and I just didn't like it....but that's just me.

I wish somebody can make a replacement for the SX 180' and 190's bow panel... about one time unscrewing is all you get.. I have washers and crap glued to the insides to reinforce the holes... somebody needs to make one out of something more durable... this crap is almost like foam with vinyl draped over it...

For our SX boats, we would need someone to do a custom panel like shown above this post.....i've tried to do something but lets just say i'm not a fiberglass guy....what i had would have flush mounted my HDS 7....i'm sure there is someone out there that can do it...

I talked to Tony Parsons at The Fiberglass Shop, here in Columbus, MS, yesterday, and we are going to work on something together this winter (as soon as tournament season / business dies down). Probably going to make a couple different variations to see what works best for a depthfinder mount, or just a "solid" panel, to mount switches, etc.

I'll let y'all know what we come up with, especially you, coo-yon....
